Show Notes

This week, we take our Dugout Chatter show off the beaten path to highlight our extraordinary baseball coaching community through the experience of University of Houston head coach Todd Whitting in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Catching up with Whitting is important for us as he takes through his program's experience with the hurricane and how they worked tirelessly to help rebuild Houston, helping families begin to start over. Whitting also opens up on his tweet that went around the baseball world with a plea to coaches for their help in the relief efforts. That call was heard loud and clear! Programs and academies across every level of baseball sent boxes of gear. Whitting details his efforts to stay on top of the overwhelming response and the whiteboard that kept track of everything. This is a positive story of the power of our coaching community that highlights how special baseball people really are!
