East Carolina University skipper Cliff Godwin is another example on the endless list of exemplary coaches in our game, plus he’s a 15-year continuous ABCA member on this week’s show. He has an impressive career thus far, experiencing success at each stop but also coaching under a “who’s who” in college baseball, including ABCA Hall of Famer Paul Mainieri at two different stops, and SEC mainstays Tim Corbin and Mike Bianco, among others. Entering his fourth campaign as the head coach at ECU, we get Godwin to open up on his growth in the profession and developing lasting relationships with his guys. His program makes an impact in the classroom and the community and Godwin’s blue collar approach and humble spirit come through in this show.
