Show Notes

In the midst of their 2019 campaigns, both Butch Thompson from Auburn and John Savage from UCLA jump on the call with us this week to open up a myriad of topics in the pitching space. Utilizing our social media, we gave our followers and loyal listeners an opportunity to submit their pitching questions and posed them to both Thompson and Savage. We dive into how each coach tailors individual routines to their pitchers, talk mental game ideas and approaches, plus we dive into teaching command and how this might look in our bullpens. Both coaches share their thoughts on dealing with arm slot issues, giving our coaches mechanical cues to look for plus approach the topics of drop-down pitchers and even two-way players and how to manage their routines. It’s a certain ‘take feverish notes’ episode with arguably two of the very best pitching minds in the college game today!
