Show Notes

We touch down in Mount Pleasant, Michigan, a town with deep ABCA ties, to connect with the first-year skipper Jordan Bischel of Central Michigan University. He is leading one of the best turnarounds in college baseball this season and we open with Bischel on the details, including the new energy and focus on development that he feels has made the difference. Bischel details his unique perspective from working out of baseball and in accounting before following his passion for coaching, which led him through the small college route building up programs on the NAIA and Division II levels. Bischel also lays out his approach to coaching ‘northern baseball’, working every day to build a consistent winner. CMU and Mount Pleasant play a close role here at the ABCA with legendary Chippewas head coach, Athletic Director and former ABCA Executive Director Dave Keilitz still living in town. He has become a friend and mentor to Bischel through his transition.
