Show Notes

After attending the 2019 ABCA Convention, Dusty Baker joins this week’s show with 40 years of perspective from his MLB playing and managing experience. Baker, a first year member of the ABCA, recounts his experience in Dallas with over 6,500 coaches, attending our first Diversity in Baseball Committee Meeting and how impressed he was with the affinity of our coaches to share and find new ways to teach. Baker reflects on his journey through baseball, from being drafted out of high school, learning the ropes from legends such as Hank Aaron to now watching his son's path through college baseball. We dive into a myriad of topics, following up on his thoughts on the diversity and inclusion issues we have in baseball to his childhood and the various coaches and mentors that made an impact on him.
