We head back into the outfield grass to connect with Lander University assistant coach JT Maguire, a young and passionate champion for closing the gaps and improving team defense through better development. Maguire has made a positive name for himself through his efforts on social media, joining the #FridayFielders crew and delivering drills, ideas, videos, etc. that help fuel discussions around fundamentals inside our game but also charge the coaching community with debate and sharing. A past clinician on our ABCA Barnstormers Clinics and at the 2018 ABCA Convention in the Expo Theater, we uncover his growth in coaching and how we came to adopt his passion for outfield play. Maguire opens up his standards, rules of thumb and creative viewpoints to help any coach challenge their thoughts on development in the outfield.
