Burmeister is entering his second season as hitting coach with the Colorado Rockies and was the 2019 ABCA/Baseball America Assistant Coach of the Year in NJCAA while at Madison College. Burmeister played at Madison and then UW-Lacrosse, before moving into the coaching ranks at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Burmeister also spent time on the Travel Baseball side, coaching with the GRB Rays, as well as the Collegiate Summer League level with the Madison Mallards.
