This week’s podcast welcomes in Andy Schatzley, assistant coach at Harding University in Arkansas, who has proven to be one of the best teachers and developers of defenders on the small college level. Schatzley delivers countless ideas, language, drills, and mentalities that will make all of us better teachers on the infield. Schatzley always had coaching in his future, as his father was longtime ABCA member, and his true passion for developing his guys is apparent. The results speak for themselves as last year’s team fielded .977 a year ago, good for third in the country in Division II. That has been year after year with his defense. Schatzley not only delivers major value inside our chat but it is also his transparency and humility that will be palpable for our listeners as well.
