Show Notes

With some of the USA Development Programs in close-by Cary, N.C., we visited some of our loyal members: Butch Chaffin from Cookeville High School in Tennessee, Wes Brooks from Oxford High School in Alabama and Tanner Vesely from Corona Del Sol High School in Arizona as well as Doug Creek, former MLB pitcher and now owner of The Barn in Southern Maryland. This episode was recorded live with all of us huddled around a table in the living room of their hotel and it was a special treat to talk baseball with these fantastic men. We pull back the curtain on USA Baseball, we get their personal takeaways and experiences and spend the bulk of the show talking the life of high school baseball coaches: the ups and downs, the lessons learned along the way, how to work with parents, how to train. This group has seen it all. It's an unfiltered, unplugged conversation that comes back to this key point: on behalf of the ABCA National Office, thank you to all of the special coaches out there on the high school level who are growing young men and impacting the game, working hard for their guys. Here are four of the very best to connect with this week!
